My “little” boy just turned 4 a few days ago… FOUR!!! I still can’t believe it.! We decided to go with an emoji theme this year titled “OMG.. Vedh is 4!” since it best explains the way we feel about him growing up so fast and I am extremely happy with how everything turned out.

The Backdrop
Honestly, the backdrop was a labor of love and I love the way it turned out. It was definitely a showstopper at the party and a perfect photo booth for all the kids and parents. Checkout my DIY backdrop in detail.

We taped the backdrop to the wall with some double sided tape and the balloon arch is actually 3 balloon columns with assorted size balloons, attached to the backdrop with some command hooks and nylon thread.
Number ballon mosaic
My next big project was the number 4 balloon mosaic. I was a little skeptical since it was my first time making a balloon mosaic but this template from Etsy was of huge help. Here’s how I made the balloon mosaic.

The dessert table decor was kept minimal with just cake and my emoji oreo pops which were a huge hit. The kids had a lot of fun looking at all the different emojis and picking their favorite one. Here’s how I made those cute emoji pops.

For the goodie bags, I got some emoji string bags for all the kids and they were a huge hit too. They came as pack of 12 with 6 different emoji faces which was perfect. Each bag had some candy and gifts and they are all linked below.

Outfits
The first thing I did as soon as we decided on an Emoji theme was outfit hunting. Since I already had an idea of the backdrop and the color scheme, I wanted us to blend in with the decor and Vedh to really stand out. So we chose black and went with white for him.

Lastly, we covered all the banquet tables with a black table cover and used a super cute emoji table runner from ‘Oriental Trading’ for which I received several compliments from our guests. Sadly I didn’t take pictures of the table setup.
